5 Months Old

Sophie turned 5 months old a couple days ago. She is a super mellow baby. More so than Sydney was I think. She doesnt cry when I vaccuum or when I walk away, and she eats all the time. She talks to us all the time and has a constant smile. Always smiling whenever Sydney is close by, and I find them laughing with eachother several times a day now. Its probably the cutest thing ever! She found her feet a month or two ago, is starting to sit up, she can flip from back to stomach with no problem but is still working on the stomach to back flip. She is starting to do the "swimming" a little bit. I wonder if she will be crawling sooner than Sydney did. She is sooooo tall! Almost 29 inches! And somewhere around 16 lbs. She has almost outgrown her infant car seat and I just bought a toddler car seat that Sydney can use while we put Sophie in the one Sydney has been using for the past year!Maybe in the next year we will look into getting another or bigger car that I can use. Gabe took the Bike I bought 5 years ago in for a tune up so he could start riding it to work. We'll see how that works out. He has been delayed slightly in the last month from doing what he would like to outdoors-wise. He went hiking with a friend of ours two weekends ago and came home saying he had found two ticks on his neck and then the following day I found one on our laundry hamper! I FREAKED! I immediately called up Gabe and said that we aren't going out hiking until we have soaked our hiking clothes in repellant or until tick season is OVER! I am that scared of those little disease ridden insects right now! Newhall park is fine for me for now! It may not be as pretty as the trails on Mt Diablo, but it is more open and no tall grass or weeds to be walking through.
Sophie tried apples today! It was her first "food" trying so of course she make faces of disgust and looked like she was goieng to gag or spit it out because of the sour taste. Sydney tried the applesauce I made also and spit it out. I guess it just wasn't that good, no matter what age you are! :P
