"Or that time when we bought that spreadable Pub Cheese at Costco and it said, 'Gourmet, spreadable cheese!' It only costs us $5 bucks for two. Sure sounds like Gourmet to me."
Its just funny to see how some people try to make things that are quite low end sound like luxury.
Anyway. My Motherhood Maternity Gift card came in the mail and I was able to purchase two cute tops! Its insane how much these things costs, especially the cute ones. But I got these. I need more color in my wardrobe so these will fit nicely, especially if I can figure out how to do my hair in beach waves.
I got this one in a solid orangish color. which will look cute with a white skirt or dark jeans.
And this one, I just love the color, and it would also look cute for church and with a light sweater or shrug or a shade shirt underneath.
Last week I had gone with mom to Creekside ...something, out in downtown Walnut Creek cuz we had coupons, that ended up being fake, but they were still having 30% off all items including sales items, so I was able to get a pair of jeans for $30 that fit pretty well and I could use them with a belly band. But yesterday I decided to take them back and use that $30 to buy some maternity jeans from Old Navy. I got a pair that fits perfectly. So glad I took that other back. But then this morning I noticed as I put them on that there was a whole in the stretchy part that goes over your stomach. Great! So we went back to Old Navy this morning on the way to the Farmer's Market, and I ran in, exchanged the pair, and then went and changed into them in the fitting rooms and went back out to the car. I really wanted to wear them today. Plus I found a cute top at Ross and some silver flats that go with the shirt for cheap and I love them. Finally I am starting to feel pretty again while feeling huge.
Gabe bought himself some Puma socks and I told him that he could get a jersey or some new pants for work, or really whatever he wanted. I was getting all this maternity stuff. (Although the gift card didn't cost us anything cuz Gabe got it for free), but he was content with socks. lol This morning he wakes up and says, "I'm going to wear the blue ones. They look you are wearing shoes even when you have no shoes on. They are nice looking socks." LOL. I have never heard someone talk about socks like that. "Here you can wear the green ones if you want to." Its alright Gabe, they are great looking socks, but I'll wear my flats today. You can wear your new socks tomorrow too. (They really are great fitting and feeling socks. Puma is great.) The conversation just made me laugh. We were talking about how nice socks look. Who does that?
