Making Homemade Bread

Yesterday I attempted to make whole wheat bread with soaked flour. I m always making bread and we have hardly needed to buy any from the store for some time now, but since I know that soaking the flour just makes the bread that much more healthy for you, I wanted to try it and get the hang of it so that I can always make bread with soaked flour. I made a whole wheat chocolate cake with soaked flour for Sydney's birthday and it turned out wonderful and rich and addicting (to me). So why would the bread be any different?
I'm hoping it is just a one time mess up on my part, although I can't see where I messed up when I followed the directions perfectly. But the bread turned out sour and the recipe called for sooooo much flour. They look great, smell great, and tasted.... blah!
Crossing my fingers next time it will be perfect, like the cake. At least we can eat the cake for breakfast! Who needs bread?
