So I haven't gotten around to taking more pictures of Sydney for her 10 Month shots because the last time I tried, she wouldn't sit still for even a millisecond. So, the previous post that has the three shots of her will have to do for now until I can capture a picture of her while she is not looking.
Sydney has been doing soo much within the last month. She is:
-Walking along the couch or anything that she can grab and hold onto while standing up. She hasn't wanted to venture out yet on her own. She has let go of what she was holding onto while standing just once, but quickly grabbed a hold on it again.
-She dances to music
-She copies whatever we do. (peek-a-boo, head bobbing, dancing, clapping, etc.) She did play peek-a-boo at church the other day and started it all on her own. She was standing on the bench next to Gabe and me, looking behind us and she hid behind the bench, then popped back up, and then hid behind the bench and then popped back up, while staring at our friend behind us. They caught on and started playing with her too. But she initiated it.
-She loves food. She has had that pincer grasp thing down for months now and I am trying to get her used to holding a spoon. We have a small water glass that we had as a candle votive that we use to give her water in. She is in a Banana stage at the moment. She can eat bananas all day long. I am not exaggerating at all. She loves rice, quinoa, pasta and marinara sauce, cheese, crackers, cookies, potatoes, veggies (they have to be sauteéd in olive oil with a little parmesan cheese or she wont eat them), pretty much all fruits, she loves lemonade (my homemade lemonade), and she loves her formula. I will really happy when she hits a year old and can start having milk, per pediatricians recommendations.
-She loves BOOKS! she will go grab one that is in her room and sit there flipping through the pages on her own, or sit and listen while we read it to her.
-She is "saying" Mama more and I am starting to think she might know what it means, but I'm still not sure. She can sign "milk" and sometimes will sign it without me signing it first when she wants it.
-She knows what "No" means and will look twice at us before getting into something that we have told her not to get into before, although she still gets into it. She loves to go into our bedroom anytime she sees the door open and she is a quick one. She will head straight for the bathroom if she sees that door open, and she will try to get into the kitchen if she sees that the gate isn't up.
-She loves phones, remote controls, the computer, opening drawers, power cords, lights, plugs, the see-through baby gate we have which she presses her face up against and starts licking it (this is a rather funny thing to see from the other side), she loves playing with water bottles, empty cardboard boxes, paper (she managed to eat some once when I couldn't get it fast enough, pulling books off the shelves, and she loves her pacifier still. She will not fall asleep without it. So forgetting to bring the pacifier is not a good thing.
- She LOVES her toothbrush, whether it has paste on it or not, she will be chewing on it any second she can. And of course she loves have her teeth brushed also. She has her two lower incisors, a lower lateral and one upper incisor, with the other coming in.
Gabe thinks she will start saying words in a month or two. I am really excited about that! Sydney has hit the car seat limit for weight and so we are looking at convertible car seats not and plan to buy one at the end of the month.
All in all, we are doing well, Sydney is doing very well, Gabe is hard at work and has some extra hours that we were praying for, and I have been baking non-stop so that we have some good, wholesome breakfasts and snacks for Sydney and don't have to buy processed baby foods and snacks, and Gabe for lunches. There is a rumor about us possibly moving at the beginning of the summer that may or may not be true... we will see. Gabe will be meeting with his boss in a couple weeks and his boss mentioned that he would like Gabe to help oversee a clinic, but we are not sure if that clinic is down in southern Cali or up here. So, we are waiting to find out.
Thats all about us for now!

It looks like Bruce and Sydney like the same things. Woo hoo, gotta love those electric cords and wires trying to go into their mouth every 5 seconds ;) At least you don't have a dog. Bruce coughed in my face today and his breath smelled like dog food. I guess there was a kibble lying around that i missed. so gross.
p.s. Do you want a dog? I have one that is really nice and great with kids.
seriously, that is all she wants, and food.
uuuh no thanks on the dog! haha I don't think I am ready for a dog. I can't stand hair everywhere. =P
Haha that's funny Melissa.
Britt, it didn't seem like you were too concerned about how attached Sydney is to her pacifier, but if you want to get her off of it, I've heard that snipping a tiny hole in the tip is a good trick - it looses it's sucking capability I guess. She might get confused and lose interest. :)
That is too cute! I can tell she is keeping you busy and on your toes all the time. Thanks for the post. I can just imagine her doing all those things. It's the next best thing to actually being there.
