Tough Night

This was Sydney this morning! Sweet little wonderful Sydney!

It didn't last long...
Well, this evening has been quite an experience. I am lucky to have such a wonderfully behaved child. She is so mellow and is always full of smiles and happy. Buuuuuut today was different. Her usual naps were short. She is teething again on the top now we think, and she has had a hard time breathing through her nose because of this cold she must have caught. We pulled out the humidifier that we have, which wasn't working well the last time we used it, and works fine all of a sudden. So we stopped using the one my mom let us borrow (thanks goodness), thanks mom; it was creating a fresh water lake in Sydney's room. We ran to Target and got some Vicks Vapor Rub hoping that will help her breath a little easier. I didn't really know what else to do. My mom used it when I was little so I thought I would give a try. We also got her a Fisher Price Precious Planet Jumparoo. Some of these names they give toys are funny.

That's when it started...
5 o'clock. We got in the car and headed for Mom and Dad's house for dinner and Sydney lost it. Started crying and nothing would soothe her. We rocked her and patted her at Mom and Dad's and let her sit for a couple minutes crying to see if she would cry it out, we fed her but she didn't want it all (which is odd), and finally we had to just hold her the entire time or she would start crying even more. We took turns, but Gabe just ended up sitting there in the other room while she slept for half an hour in his arms. We got a short time to eat dinner and then we headed home. She cried all the way home. We sang to her her favorite songs... nothing. We rocked her more and patted her and set her in her crib and did everything we could think of and she finally stopped crying around 8:25 when we fed her a little more and put her in her newly constructed Jumparoo.

... massive explosion in diaper ended the night.

Gosh darnit Bruce shared his airplane sniffles. No fun. Sorry, I hope she feels better soon.

I was gonna say maybe she had gas... I guess it was that and a little more, eh?

When Jack saw the video he said, "Bee!" (aka baby) and started clapping. Tell Sydney Jack is cheering her on!
